Advertised annual allowances and official prepaid-mile products — not the return overage table, which already lives next door.

This page is the menu: which annual allowances captives advertise, and whether they sell extra miles before return. The cents-per-mile penalty at turn-in is a different article.
Nissan publishes the clearest prepaid product: SignatureFLEX® extra miles at $0.10 per mile, in the car or online, up to 30 days before maturity. BMW publishes a Mileage Adjustment Program you can use until the day before turn-in. Toyota publishes 15,000- and 12,000-year standard/low-mileage math plus a sub-10,000 program.
If you need the return overage rate, use the overage table and calculator. Do not mix those cents with the prepaid prices below.

Prepaid miles vs return overage
Buy extra miles only if the prepaid rate is below the return rate on your contract and you will use them. Unused prepaid miles generally do not refund as cash. BMW is the exception that publishes a credit for unused purchased miles against remaining obligations.
