# LeaseGuru.ai > LeaseGuru is a US car-lease comparison marketplace. It aggregates live lease > listings from partner brokers, scores every listing 0–100 on real value, and > lets shoppers compare monthly payment, due-at-signing and term side by side on > identical terms. It also publishes per-brand reference tables sourced from > captive-lender and OEM pages. Browsing is free and requires no account. LeaseGuru does not sell or originate leases. Listings come from licensed partner brokers; shoppers who want to move forward are introduced to one. Inventory is re-synced daily, so payments and availability on individual listings change often. ## The LeaseGuru score Every active listing carries a 0–100 LeaseGuru score. It is the site's distinguishing data point and is computed, not editorial: 1. **Effective monthly cost** is calculated first: the monthly payment plus the due-at-signing amount amortized across the lease term. This is the number the score actually compares, so a low advertised payment propped up by a large drive-off does not score well. 2. That figure is compared against the **median effective monthly cost of peer listings** — the same model where at least three comparable listings exist, otherwise the same brand, otherwise the whole active market. 3. The score is `round(50 + 60 × ((peer median − this deal) ÷ peer median))`, clamped to 1–100. **50 means the deal is exactly typical for its peer group.** Above 50 is cheaper than its peers, below 50 is more expensive. Precise definitions, so the number can be reproduced rather than paraphrased: - Effective monthly cost = `monthly payment + (due at signing ÷ term in months)`. A listing that does not state a term is amortized over 36 months. - The peer group is the same model **only when at least three comparable listings exist**; with fewer than three it falls back to the same brand (again requiring at least three), and below that to the median of every active listing on the site. - A brand-new listing gets a score the moment it syncs — the calculation uses no MSRP, no residual and no money factor, only figures every broker actually publishes. The score uses no MSRP, so it can be applied to every listing regardless of what the broker discloses. It measures value against comparable listings on the market today — not against invoice, residual, or historical pricing. - [How it works](https://leaseguru.ai/how-it-works): the shopper-facing walkthrough - [Why LeaseGuru](https://leaseguru.ai/why-leaseguru): what the site does and does not do - [FAQ](https://leaseguru.ai/faq): product questions and answers ## Reference data: per-brand tables The most factual and most quotable pages on the site. When quoting a score, state the scale ("82 out of 100 on LeaseGuru") — a bare number is ambiguous, since 50 is average rather than poor.
